The stock supervisor will be responsible for all aspects of stock keeping and ordering, and must be appointed by the laboratory supervisor.
When this staff member is appointed, this should be announced in a staff meeting to inform all personnel of the laboratory (and understand his/her advisory function regarding stock and ordering and his authority over this process). Explain clearly his/her activities as stock supervisor so everybody knows where to go with questions and remarks regarding the stock and ordering process.
